Local loops created either intra-building
or intra-campus
OMNIACOM provides solutions with IP-DSLAM DIAS24A
and other associated telecommunication equipment
(transmission equipment, Ethernet switches, routers,
servers, gateways etc.) for new broadband services
and applications for hotels, campus, buildings….
The system
architecture is based on the existing standards
and protocols, and the existing infrastructure
can therefore be reused for many solutions.
The proposed
network architecture is designed to utilize the
existing copper infrastructure used for the telephony
network in the hotel:
 |
The DSLAM is placed
near the PABX and all the cabling to the PABX
is routed through the DSLAM |
 |
Similarly in each
room, a splitter is connected to the wall
jack, this supplies the existing telephone
in the room as well as an ADSL modem/CPE |
 |
The Ethernet port
from the SMS system is connected to the gateway
from the ISP |
 |
The network elements
(DSLAM, CPE, etc), can be monitored and managed
through a centralized management system. This
capability takes the network monitoring/management
to an individual room level. |
 |
ADSL can be used
to link WiFi Access points into the network
to offer WiFi service at selected common areas
in the hotel (Business Center, Swimming pool
area, Coffee Shops, restaurants and bar, Meeting/Conference
rooms, Lobby/Reception area…). |
