OMNIAX is a high density, scalable multi service access platform supporting both TDM and broadband services.
The typical configuration consists of two components:

The Central Office Terminal (COT), which is located at the service provider premises and interfaces to the data network and/or a local PSTN Exchange (LE).
The Remote Terminal (RT), which is located near or at costumer’s premises and provides the subscriber services.

OMNIAX-RT can also work as an independent access unit. OMNIAX-RT/COT with Circuit Emulation can function also as Packet-ADM (PADM) equipment. Similarly RT can be configured as a pure IP DSLAM, without the TDM portion. With Media Gateway module, OMNIAX-RT can function as a Media Gateway. Theses flexibilities provide a future proof and scalable platform for the operators to enable new services as and when the demand rises.
