Loop Carriers (DLC) to interconnect large optical fiber
based networks with customers using copper in the last
mile. As customers began demanding more services such
as high-bandwidth connectivity, these DLCs have been modified
and adapted to support Digital Subscriber Line services
in the same cabinet. However, this approach has an adverse
effect on service manageability, customer care and skill-set
management for the operator.
