General Information
  Public Internet phone calling is an exciting new service that uses the Internet for connecting phone calls, especially for consumers. But most businesses are using IP telephony across their own managed private networks because it allows them to better handle security and service quality.

Using their own networks, companies have more control in ensuring the voice service is as good as, if not better than, the services they would have previously experienced from their traditional phone service.

OMNIACOM’s VoIP enterprise solution is a complete solution that includes a PC open-source based IP PABX, a state of the art IP Phone that is based on Analog Devices’ Blackfin VoiP reference design as well as various Soft phones to choose from.

With OMNIP Enterprise Solution, business customers can communicate more efficiently while retaining their existing technology and phone numbers. Using a high-speed Internet connection, users are able to customize features and control settings online and in real time, from anywhere in the world.

As shown in the above figure, the typical configuration consists of a local network composed of IP phones, ordinary Phones connected to the LAN via IP Adapter and Soft Phones. These IP devices are merged with the existing PSTN telephone network through a voip gateway.

Those devices are connected to the IP PBX which encompasses the configuration, management, administration of the IP Phone users on the VoIP LAN. The IP PBX insure interconnection of phones for actual communications, related services such as billing and dialing plans, and basic features such as conferencing, transfer, forward, hold, and many more

OMNIP enterprise solution gives the user the opportunity to :

Dial the desired local or long-distance number directly. The call is then sent over the company’s high-speed Internet connection via a VoIP gateway or the company’s existing PBX.
Dial a number within the same enterprise, abbreviated dialing is also available.
Once the call is completed, it is charged to the company’s account balance.
Users (administrators and/or individual employees) may log in to the account self-provisioning interface at any time to access call history (CDRs), payment information, language options, and many other features.
